How to use eScooters at Millennium Garages
How to use eScooters at Millennium Garages

- Sign up HERE to receive your eScooter access code via email
- You will receive an email within 10 minutes. Check your promotions folder
- Download the Ridy Application to your smartphone (iOS or ANDROID)
- In the Ridy Application, create your Ridy Account
- Click “Sign Up”
- Enter requested information
- Click the menu in the upper left corner
- Click “My Fleets”
- Enter the “Fleet Code” you received in the email
- Drive to Millennium Lakeside Garage and navigate to the eScooter docking location
- Use the entry ramps at 5 South Columbus Drive, between Randolph & Monroe
- After the ramps, head east through the gates into Millennium Lakeside Garage
- After the entry gates, take the first right
- Continue straight to the end of the section and turn right
- Park your car and walk to scooter pickup in southwest Millennium Lakeside Garage lobby (300 East Monroe Street)
- Start eScooter rental
- Scan the QR code located on the handlebar of the eScooter
- Enter credit card information
- eScooters are free to rent for up to 10 hours
- If your rental lasts longer than 10 hours please contact Ridy (support@ridy.com) to confirm you plan to return the eScooter. You will be assessed a late fee of $25
- If you do not contact RIdy after 10 hours, an eScooter abandonment fee of $75 will be assessed
- Exit the pedestrian lobby onto the ramps to Monroe Street. eScooters are not allowed in the garage
- Sign up HERE to receive your eScooter access code via email

- Return your eScooter to the docking location and end ride before returning to your car
- Place eScooter in the docking station
- Lock eScooter to the docking station
- To end ride, take a photo of the docked eScooter and submit
- Plug in the eScooter to charge for the next rider

Frequently Asked Questions
- eScooters are free to ride for up to 10 hours. If your rental lasts longer than 10 hours, please contact Ridy (support@ridy.com) to confirm you plan to return the eScooter. You will be assessed a late fee of $25. If you do not contact Ridy after 10 hours, an eScooter abandonment fee of $75 will be assessed.
- Please create a support ticket in the Ridy Application, or email support@rideridy.com with your full name, email address and mention you are with the Millennium Lakeside Garage
- eScooter rentals are FREE for Millennium Parking Garage customers
- The eScooter is likely in use, low battery or requires maintenance. Please try another eScooter
- You must be 18 years or older to ride eScooters
- Use bike lanes to ride eScooters
- Riders are not allowed in the garage, on the Lakefront trail, on the Chicago Riverwalk or on sidewalks
- To start your scooter ride, place one foot firmly on the baseboard and use your other foot to push off against the ground. Once you’ve gained speed, press the throttle near your right thumb to accelerate. Squeeze the hand brake to slow down when needed
- We strongly recommend that you wear a helmet every time you ride the scooters
- If you are making a stop at a destination, tap the “Pause” button in the application to turn off and secure the eScooter, which activates the anti-theft alarm
- You are required to use the attached cable lock on the vehicle to secure the vehicle to a bike rack
- You are responsible for returning the vehicle to the docking station at Millennium Lakeside Garage to complete the trip
- To end the trip, take a photo showing the vehicle is properly parked and plugged into the charging station
- Riders must use the cable lock to secure the vehicle to the charging station
- If you are having issues returning the vehicle, please call or text 1-833-462-7439 (1-833-GO2-RIDY)
- Every eScooter or bike comes with a cable and has a unique 4 or 5-digit code which is only visible when you select/tap the vehicle you are renting in the application
- Riders must use this lock to secure the scooter/bike to a bike rack in order to park or pause their vehicles during their trip
- If you are involved in an accident and need medical assistance, call 911. If the eScooter has been damaged, please file a report in the Ridy application. Select “Support” in the Ridy menu and press the “+” button. Click the “Accidents/Emergencies” option and fill out the form

POLICY: As a public concession, Millennium Garages recognizes its responsibility to our customers, employees, our investors, and the communities we serve. We commit to developing and implementing responsible environmental, social, and governance practices to protect the well-being of our business and its diverse stakeholders. We deliver on this responsibility through Millennium Garages’ management, operations, and governance.

- Articulating Millennium Garages’ environmental, social, and governance goals and enacting policies to embed these goals in all aspects of our business
- Ensuring accountability at all levels of our organization, including Millennium Garages’ board of directors, senior management, employees, and contractors
- Operating with integrity in all our interactions, including safeguards for physical and digital security, financial transactions, political interactions, and interpersonal engagement
Operations:
- Tracking, reporting, and taking action to address the environmental and social impacts of Millennium Garages’ operations, including energy, air, water, and climate
Governance:
- Defining, tracking, and publicly sharing progress toward those goals, including transparent annual reporting through a recognized ESG reporting platform
ACCOUNTABILITY: The Board of Directors of Millennium Parking Garages is responsible for ensuring that this ESG policy is enacted by Millennium Garages’ employees and contractors. Meetings of the Board will include regular progress updates against ESG objectives and discussion of new ESG priorities.
Millennium Garages reports its ESG performance annually through GRESB, the global benchmark for financial markets. Past years’ reports and additional information are available at https://gresb.com.
Millennium Garages’ Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors evaluate progress on ESG policy goals on an ongoing basis.

Millennium Garages is pleased to provide electric vehicle charging across all four downtown parking facilities. All charging is currently first-come-first-served. In the coming months, we will be offering additional EV charging options, including monthly reserved charging.
